The purpose of Title III Part A is to help ensure that children and youth who are limited English proficient, Native American and/or immigrants, attain English language proficiency, develop high levels of academic attainment in English, and meet the same challenging state academic standards that all children are expected to meet.
CESA 10 facilitates a Title III consortium that provides district tutorial assistance, professional development, and resources.
Twenty-eight districts in CESA 10 participate in a Title III-A consortium to support students who are developing competence in the English language.
The CESA 10 Title III Consortium Provides:
- An ELL consultant to provide onsite support and recommendations, as requested
- A percentage of the Title III allocation returned to districts with established populations of ELL students and services in place
- Professional and student resources housed in the CESA 10 IMC
- Professional development for teachers and paraprofessionals
