With nearly 25 years of experience as an educator, Joel Raney's mastery of culturally responsive teaching practices has allowed him to teach and lead in multiple roles with 4K-16 educators. Joel advocates for equitable learning environments for all students, especially those caught in the achievement gap. He teaches faculty, staff, and administrators how to adjust their work to positively impact student learning. His work ranges from new teachers, veteran faculty, department (team) development, and administrator development.
Joel is in Faculty Develop at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where he leads the New Faculty Development Program. Before moving to higher education, Joel taught high school English and worked as an instructional coach in the Eau Claire Area School District.
