Preparing, Training, & Recruiting High Quality Teachers & Principals
The purpose of Title IIA is to increase student achievement by recruiting, hiring, and retaining high quality teachers and by providing research-based professional development designed to improve teaching and learning.
CESA 10 schools have the opportunity to participate in a Title IIA Consortium. Services will:
- support the implementation of research-based, literacy and mathematics programs, K-12, in a variety of venues including study groups, related workshop series, graduate courses, etc.
- provide support for new teachers through orientation sessions, mentoring, and ongoing professional development
- provide resources to support leadership, literacy, content area learning, mathematics and science
Services will be provided through a variety of professional development venues and assessed through an annual evaluation process. The consortium fee for Title IIA is 5% of the Title IIA allocation. Instructional Services Leadership will provide technical assistance and coordination of consortium activities.
