Community Employment General entrance criteria and show potential for independence once trained on a job in the community. Normally referred through DVR $26.20/hr.
Training for Success
  • General entrance criteria
  • TANF eligibility at or below 200% poverty level
  • Wood County resident
  • Targets individuals that have multiple employment barriers that need individual assistance to get and maintain a job in the community.
 Eligibility determined by ODC Grant funded for Wood County; will consider for other counties
Moving Up
  • General entrance criteria
  • TANF eligibility at or below 200% poverty level
  • Wood County resident
  • Targets individuals that are working or have worked at a lower paying job and would like to advance through promotion or to a new job with better pay and benefits.
 Eligibility determined by ODC Grant funded for Wood County; will consider for other counties.

  • Be of working age
  • Voluntary participation (informed choice)
  • Have a verified disability or other barrier to employment
  • Be emotionally able to participate in a work program (not harmful to self or others)
  • Be able to make transportation arrangements (ODC could get involved in problem-solving)
  • Meets or makes arrangements for self-care needs
  • Have third party fee sponsorship (ability to pay for services)
  • Willing to follow established work rules, e.g. drug free work-place, etc.
 Normally referred through DVR $344 flat fee
